Taurobole Square

THE PROJECT IN SUMMARY

The hub (or strategic center) of the city of Tain l'Hermitage, Taurobole Square had become an unattractive place that required a strong reconfiguration. The municipality wanted to give a convivial character to this space allowing businesses to develop under better conditions.

A new street configuration was implemented to limit traffic, clearing the physical space previously invaded by cars. The freed surfaces were used to recreate walk paths, conviviality, and meeting spaces.

Today, water and light are the main players in the renovated square, which hosts café terraces, a weekly market, and temporary events.
