Josaphat Park

PROJECT IN SUMMARY

Acting as a green lung within the Brussels municipality of Schaerbeek, Josaphat Park has been restored to its original appearance while taking into account the needs of users today.

Several aspects have been taken into account to reconnect with the spirit in which this classified as an exceptional park since 1974 was designed to open up spaces and recreate areas of light and restore the voids that originally prevailed, renovation or creation of paths, restoration of heritage (statues, rockeries, bridge, etc.), equipment (playgrounds, mini-golf, fitness trail, etc.) and all buildings in the park (kiosks, greenhouse, pergola bar, etc.). Renewal planting of trees and shrubs of native species, and a meadow for mowing, complete the rehabilitation of this park which has regained its former glory.
