This project is the opportunity for the town of Tubize to renew a link with the canal that runs through it, to create a focus for employment, and to develop a new provision of accommodation and a new centrality with a cultural emphasis. Great attention has been devoted to accessibility in order to reduce car use, to encourage alternative modes of transport and to re-absorb the entry to the town.
In addition, the management of rainwater has been incorporated upstream of the landscaping design, and the built blocks, and production, as well as the sharing of energy will be envisaged on the site.
Ultimately, approximately 2500 residences, 35,000 m2 of offices, 16 ha of economic activities and 20 ha of landscaped spaces will be created (including community facilities and local businesses).
Reference content In July 2010, the company DUFERCO Belgium assigned to JNC International s.a. the task of designing a Master Plan for the re-assignment of the site of the former Forges de Clabecq. This mission follows the SAR reconnaissance of the site in May 2009, also carried out by JNC and the adoption of the soil remediation project.
The project forms part of the sustainable development initiative. Ultimately, approximately 2500 residences, 35,000 m2 of offices, 16 ha of economic activities and 20 ha of landscaped spaces will be created.
Object of the reference JNC INTERNATIONAL s.a., the teams agent, has covered all the planning and landscaping aspects, accompanied in its task by Bruno BIANCHET who focused more particularly on the scheduling, economic and social contexts, the various contributors to be involved and the financial analysis. JNC and Bruno Bianchet took part in the participative initiative established, being present at meetings of all those involved and in the urban workshops.
