Pilot City Gardens

THE PROJECT IN SUMMARY

Designed according to precepts characteristic of the functionalist approach that prevailed in the 1960s, the Pilot City had to recreate in a piece of an ideal city. The goal was to build a large complex capable of living almost completely independently.

The redevelopment of the gardens of the Pilot City, on the other hand, is designed with the idea to reopen the city to the outside world and to consider the space as an artistic work in itself.

The new developments highlight the full potential of this peri-urban landscape and allow it to reinforce both sustainable development and the consolidation of the neighborhood identity. They are also an opportunity for the inhabitants of the city to reclaim the place, to benefit from an improved living environment which benefits individual and collective well-being.
