Esplanade de Chaudfontaine

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Linked to the history and the economy of the thermal town, the drop of water and by incidence the water and its undulating movements are the guidelines of this project which recreates a quality public space. Organized around a central dry fountain symbolizing the drop of water, the developments of the new esplanade create a coherent whole which offers a greater legibility of the place. 

Priority is given back to pedestrians, who can take advantage of a largely re-greened space. The esplanade thus finds a new vocation by becoming both a pleasure garden along the Vesdre and a place of circulation to the center and the nearby park.
